What’s with the Creative Commons license?

As you might have noticed, I added a “This work is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 2.5 Canada License.” notice to all content on this site. What does this mean?

Some of you are hosting full, abridged, or translated (hi there, in China!) versions of my posts on your own site. This notice says that you are more than welcome to do so, provided that:

  • You mention my name, Ferenc Mihaly, as the author
  • You provide a link back to the original content on this site

Most of you are already doing this, which is appreciated. This is it, in a nutshell. And thanks for your interest!
